GlobalInvoice is built so that your business data stays with you. This page explains the little we do receive, and why.

Your invoices and business data
GlobalInvoice is a desktop app. Your company file — businesses, customers, products, invoices, payments, purchases, stock and reports — is stored on your own computer. We do not receive it, store it or have access to it. Backups are made on your computer, in a folder you choose.
The licence check
From time to time the app contacts our licence server to confirm that its licence is valid. It sends only:
- the licence number;
- a device code worked out from your computer (a one-way code, not your computer's name, serial number or user name);
- the app version;
- a note if the licence files on the computer were changed or the computer's date was set back;
- a random number that makes each check unique.
The server keeps the date, the network address the check came from, and the details above, to show which licences are in use and to stop misuse. No invoice, customer or amount is ever sent.
Emails you send from the app
When you email an invoice from GlobalInvoice, it is sent through your own mailbox (for example Gmail or Outlook) with the settings you enter. It does not pass through our servers. Your mailbox password is kept on your computer, protected by Windows.
The demo request form
When you ask for a demo on this website, we receive the name, business name, email, phone number, country and message you enter, the time, and the network address the request came from (to stop spam). We use them only to reply to you and to arrange your demo and licence. We do not sell them or share them with anyone else, and we do not add you to a mailing list.
Cookies and tracking
This website sets no cookies and uses no analytics or advertising trackers. It remembers the country you choose in your own browser so the page shows the right information next time. Fonts are loaded from Google Fonts, which sees your network address when your browser fetches them.
Keeping and deleting
Licence records are kept while the licence is in use and for the period required for our accounts. Demo requests are kept for up to two years unless you become a customer. Write to us at any time to see, correct or delete what we hold about you.
